1. Purpose

These Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as "ToS") define the terms and conditions for using the website https://verify-my-document.com (hereinafter referred to as "the Site") and its services, operated by Verify My Document (hereinafter referred to as "the Publisher").

By accessing the Site or using the services offered, the user acknowledges having read, understood, and accepted these ToS without reservation.

2. Services Offered

Verify My Document is an online service that allows:

  • Uploading documents (PDF, images, ZIP files)
  • Automated analysis of document authenticity using artificial intelligence
  • Providing a verification report with a confidence score
  • Access to a user dashboard, a credit system, and an affiliate program

3. Service Access

Access to the services requires:

  • An internet connection
  • A compatible device
  • Creation of a user account (except for the free trial version)

The Publisher reserves the right to suspend or limit access to the service for technical, maintenance, or security reasons.

4. Account Creation and Management

The user is responsible for the confidentiality of their login details and the use of their account. Any activity carried out via the user's account will be considered to have been performed by them. In case of fraudulent or suspicious use, the user must immediately inform the Publisher.

5. Use of Services

The user agrees to:

  • Provide only documents they own or are authorised to submit
  • Not use the service for illegal, fraudulent, or public order-offending activities
  • Not attempt to bypass, alter, or interfere with the site's security systems

6. Intellectual Property

All elements of the site (texts, images, logos, codes, databases) are protected by copyright and intellectual property law. Any reproduction, modification, or distribution without prior authorisation is prohibited.

7. Data Processing and Privacy

The Publisher processes personal data in accordance with applicable regulations and its Privacy Policy. Uploaded documents are kept only for the time necessary for analysis, unless the user has an account and chooses to store them in their history. No data is sold or transmitted to unauthorised third parties.

8. Credit System, Payments, and Billing

8.1. Credits and Subscriptions

  • Each document verification consumes a defined number of credits;
  • credits are sold in packs, with no expiration date;
  • subscriptions are sold in periodic packs (monthly or annual), with an expiry date;
  • credits are made available to the user immediately after payment confirmation by the payment provider (Stripe webhook).

8.2. Payment Methods and Currency

Payments are made in Euros (EUR) and processed via the payment provider Stripe Payments Europe Ltd using a secure TLS connection. Accepted payment methods include bank cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and, where available, compatible digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay). No banking details are stored on the Publisher's servers.

8.3. Invoice Issuance and VAT

A PDF invoice is automatically issued upon each validated payment and made available in the user area, under "My Invoices". Prices shown on the site are displayed excluding tax (HT); French Value Added Tax (VAT) at the current legal rate is added according to the user's tax status:

  • Individuals or business customers based in France: French VAT applied at the current rate;
  • EU business customers who are VAT registered and hold a valid VAT number: self-billing (VAT not charged — mention "Self-billed, Article 196 of Directive 2006/112/EC");
  • Customers based outside the European Union: VAT not applicable, Article 259-1 of the French Tax Code (CGI).

Publisher's contact details on invoices: WHITE HAT (SASU), SIREN 102529773, SIRET 10252977300016, VAT number FR03102529773, 10 rue de la Paix, 75002 Paris, France.

8.4. Subscription Renewal and Cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically at each renewal date (monthly or annual depending on the chosen pack) until cancelled by the user. Cancellation can be done at any time from the personal area, under the "Subscription" section; it takes effect on the expiry date of the current period. Credits already allocated for the current period remain usable until that date.

8.5. Payment Failure

If a recurring payment fails, Stripe will make several automatic retries. If the situation isn't resolved within the usual timeframe, access to paid features may be suspended and the subscription automatically terminated, without prejudice to any outstanding amounts.

8.6. No refunds after consumption

No refunds will be issued for a credit pack that has been consumed or partially used, nor for a subscription period that has already begun, subject to the provisions of Article 9 (Right of Withdrawal) below.

9. Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with Article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code, consumers have a period of fourteen (14) days to exercise their right of withdrawal from the conclusion of the contract, without needing to justify their decision or incur any costs other than those provided for in Articles L221-23 to L221-25 of the same code.

However, in accordance with Article L221-28 1° of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for contracts for the supply of a service fully performed before the end of the withdrawal period, and whose performance has begun after the consumer's express prior agreement and their express waiver of their right of withdrawal. By validating the purchase of credits or a subscription, the user expressly consents to the immediate performance of the service before the expiry of the withdrawal period and expressly waives their right of withdrawal for the part of the service thus performed.

The right of withdrawal can therefore still be exercised, within the 14-day period, for credits not yet consumed and for subscription periods not yet started. Any request can be sent by email to the contact address shown on the website.

10. Affiliate Programme

Users can generate a personal promo code and receive commissions on sales made through this code. The programme's terms are defined in the 'Affiliation' section of the user dashboard.

11. Limitation of Liability

The service provides analysis based on artificial intelligence algorithms but does not guarantee absolute accuracy. The Publisher cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect consequences related to the results provided by the service. The user remains solely responsible for their decisions and actions after receiving the report.

12. Modification of T&Cs

The Publisher reserves the right to modify these T&Cs at any time. Any changes will be notified to users by email or displayed on the site.

13. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These T&Cs are governed by French law. Any dispute relating to their interpretation or execution shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the French courts.
